Hey all, I have a 1983 Suzuki DR250 that's having an issue getting spark to the plug, I have tested the magnito which is all within the ohm resistance range, I have replaced the pick up coil after not being able to register a reading, I have also replaced the CDI and spark plug coil.
I'm pretty sure I have the wiring right as it's a very simple loom, it has 4 wires going from the magnito to CDI (black and white (earth), red (high speed power source), brown (low speed power source) and white (pick up coil or "trigger wire"). It also has another 3 wires coming from the magnito which I can only assume is for lighting and turn signals (green and white, pink and blue and white) which are not wired into anything.
From the CDI there is a black/ yellow wire and a black wire that goes to the coil, also a second black/ yellow wire that goes to the cut off switch which isn't wired in.
I believe that's the electronic system explained, does anyone have any idea as to why I am not getting any spark?

Get/post a wiring diagram, which can only help.

Have you done any painting on this bike?

Have you a voltage reading going to the ignition coil when turning the engine over?
Have you checked the resistance of the spark plug and cap?

Also consider any acv output from the cdi charging coils on the stator?
