Err? Maybe clean them to start with.
What bike did they come off?.
They look like they’re going to need re-chroming.

Are they bent?
Can you find a cheaper replacement set from thief-bay/scum tree?

I'd get some paraffin and a paintbrush and clean them up with that followed by hot soapy water and see how they look.

I'm not certain those are actually oil-damped? Anyone else know? Could just be sliders in a bushed outer with greased springs on a basic moped like that (that's how my Tomos worked). I don't see any oil seals for that model on the parts list bikenut posted, just bushes, dust covers and a felt washer.

In which case if they slide freely and have no significant sideways play, it'll be a case of a clean up and a lick of paint on the lowers. If you're feeling keen or they're getting squeaky, split them and re-grease the springs.

Does your work-shhop manual not say? (wot U mean, no WSM, wtf you trying to do, renovating bike without one?!)

As earlier post; do we assume a typo and iot's a pUch, magnum? Or similar.

If so you may be in luck on the WSM front, they were a lot more common, I believe in Holland, and there may be one available. Otherwise it'll be down to engine-you-ity, and you will have to work it out from scratch..... START BY CLEANING THE FECKERZ!!!!

Unc had a penchant for antique mopeds for a while; mate of his brought in tautliner loads of old scrap from the continent when they had continuous taxation laws, he used to puck out the peds as 'something to do' and [ughhhhh!] say it was a 'cheap' project 'cos "Tax Exempt"... err, like £15 would break the bank on a full resto!

But anyway; a LOT of these old low cost, small displacement 'peds were built down to a price. They don't actually 'need' suspension by regs in force in thier era, but still, they had it, b-u-t, unlike a more conventional motorbike, a LOT of stiff was made from pressed steel and 'peened' together, rather than welded or bolted or anything more 'serviceable'... and they probably didn't have heck of a lot of damping when new, so gawd knows what, if you get there, may be inside!

Start with the cleaning! See what you got, then prod and poke... and IF you can get hold of one, get a work-shop-manual!

I can't answer specifics but yes, if those covers are push-fit heating them up will help. Removing all the grit and crap first will help more. I use a hairdrier to heat up rubbers like that.

Wintergreen oil can also help make hardened rubbers pliable but do plentry of research on it first because it can be nasty if you get it on your skin. It also stinks.

Mind you, they are cheap so throwing a new set on isn't exactly wasteful.

You could have a new pair from the puchshop for about sixty quid, I wouldn't expend too much energy on them.

Oh right, the 'mini-bike'.... quick google chucked up the US hand-book 'Parent's' disclaimers; I shouldn't ride it! I'm twice the rated weight! It's only supposed to be able to carry 98lb! What's that in English? About 7 1/2 stone, or in European, 45Kg!

8 stone =112lb ( a hundredweight)
98lb=7 stone
