Hi to all, a new member here Very Happy

I have a Kawasaki Z750 on an 04 plate.

Just want some advice, my left footpeg seems to have some rotation in it, is this normal, as it moves? Should the footpeg be solid and have no movement please?

I have looked at it, and I put a hex key behind the footpeg, close to the chain. It was tight, but that seems to be where the movement is coming from.

Do you think its a new footpeg, maybe this is just worn?

Best Regards

Marc Very Happy

I'm not quite getting your description. Regardless, maybe take the peg and the frame it's on (i.e. the whole assembly) off the bike and take another look.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly, added a photo to describe better Very Happy

The end footpeg moves backwards and forward, I would of thought it shouldn't move at all, at the hex nut end, that rotates as well, but the hex nut is already tight

The footpeg may rotate a tiny amount (few degrees) against its bracket. If the whole assembly is rotating, you need to tighten the bolt. There appear to be flats on the bracket to get a spanner on.

Chances are that it's threadlocked and/or seized, so you'll need to break the bond (heat, penetrating oil or bigger spanner) to get it moving before you can tighten it up.

Sounds like lateral play. You probably just need to shim the footpeg using washers.

My rear left pillion peg on the viffer has play on it, if you're not sure about this being the issue, I'll get a vid of mine tomorrow if you prod me and remind me. Washers will usually sort it. It's common on older/high mileage bikes.

Thanks for your help, I think it has lockite thread lock on the thread, not sure which bracket you mean? Are you talking about the long thread bolt pictured with the single arrow?
