I read that as socks and boxers

Would be slightly odd to have a forum full of folk with no underwear

Is the BCF "purge", now a Christmas thing then?

A word on doxxing.

I personally don't like it and wouldn't want it done to me. However, that notwithstanding...

It has historically not ended well on this forum. The people on the receiving end are generally not the most mentally stable individuals and poking them with a stick is stupid.

The last incident I remember landed up with real life threats of violence to a forum members family delivered to their personal phone. Police involved.

The one before that pestered me constantly about it and even had another go at it months/years later. He had to be IP banned off a couple of other internet forums too because he wouldn't let it lie.

I'm absolutely certain Korn doesn't appreciate the police contacting him for data requests because of peoples dicking about on the forum.

It's only off-topic before the end of January 2020, then by default everything that happens in the UK is on-topic.

https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-8364955/Nissan-close-Barcelona-auto-plant-boost-Sunderland-jobs.html

- Sunderland will become a hub for Nissan's European car production, bosses said
- It will build 'core models' for the market, securing 6,000 jobs in the UK
- Closure of Barcelona plant on Thursday will result in around 3,000 job losses
- Production of Renault models is likely to be moved to Sunderland to improve efficiency for the alliance between the two brands

Just shows how quickly car companies can switch direction though. If we a d Europe go in to a recession then car manufacturers will be in big trouble all over including in the UK brexit or not.

Sure the news puts a spanner in the remainer camps argument that industry will abandon the UK, all I'm saying though is it shows just how quickly industry can dump thousands of workers at a sweep.

But it's good for the workers there.

Remain etc is dead. We've left.

If it had been the other way round you can bet the story would have pushed the now boring "Fibber Cummings" and "Premier League to restart" stories off the top spot (BBC News website, for example), instead of being buried.

Why the Nissan volte face, I wonder?
Anyone know in what way the Spanish factory was "troubled"?

Edit: "Nissan has identified Japan, North America and China as "core" markets - not Europe."
