I called in yesterday to find it was their last day of trading - stuff was being unscrewed and boxed up while we were eating. Sad.

We've been a few times, it is a shame, but there are other cafe's on the site, main loss will be the bike nights I guess, unless one of the other cafe's takes on the bike night.

It's probably the landlord again. He's chopped and changed his mind a few times, it was a good cheap place to stop off for a coffee, maybe ogle some nice bikes if I was at a loose end on a Thursday as I'm not far away from it.

Always used the Raven on my way into Wales, its demise will be much (if not temporarily ) missed
The only other breccy option from oop here in St Annes ont' Sea (without trecking up to the Ponderosa) will be J&S at Northwich, but not quite the same atmosphere as Lynn's

I'll certainly miss it - been a cafe for as long as I've been riding.

On the plus side, the Midway Truck Stop, which is next door, is still up and running.

To be fair, the raven was meh

,the landlords probably seen the price of housing land or been approached to join the land up for sale next to the raven by a developer to put houses on the lot.

Hopefully something will still continue via the mid way truck stop/ Ma bakers and bikers will be able to park on the car park opposite for free, but we shall see, end of an ere

we have had car meets at the midway so may end up taking the bikes on as well

acoording to a facebook post it was due to retirement
