PostPosted: 18:39 - 24 Feb 2020    Post subject: VOXI mobile network provider Reply with quote

I'm creating this post purely in the hope that it'll add to the plethora of rage reviews aimed at this rubbish company. I want the top results on google to be entirely negative reviews and complaints.

So...

  • I got a cheap 1-month rolling contract with VOXI (a subsidiary of Vodafone). All okay.
  • I then upgraded to the unlimited data version of the plan. £30 a month.
  • On the day of the upgrade, VOXI took money from my bank account, but instead of implementing the upgrade they... disconnected my account and deleted me from the system??!
  • Customer service are utterly useless. It's all via Facebook Messenger, where every reply takes anything from 30 minutes to 10 hours, and comes from a different person each time.
  • Customer service say they want to help but can't because my account has been deactivated, so they have to wait for the "technical team" to fix it. (Last I checked, account issues are not technical, it's merely a few clicks of a button).
  • Told me the fix would take 24-48 hours (why???). It's now been 6 days and still no fix, no updates, no help whatsoever. So I told them to sod it, just close my account and refund me my 30 quid.
  • "Sorry we can't offer you a refund because your most recent payment was in January and you used all of your service for that month."
  • Incorrect, my most recent payment was last week, February, on the day my account was deactivated instead of upgraded.
  • "Okay, you'll need to go to a Vodafone outlet with your bank statement to prove that money was taken from your account. They'll verify it and clear a refund request that we can then go ahead with."
  • So I go to a Vodafone outlet.
  • "Sorry, we can't find you on the system because your account must have been deactivated."

At this point I don't even know what's going to happen next. Judging by other reviews of this absolute mess of a company, I have a feeling I'll be waiting forever for the problem to be sorted. The fact that they can't just bring up my account (whether deactivated or not) on a screen and fix it is beyond me.

I've switched to Three now, and will never, ever recommend VOXI (or Vodafone for that matter) to anyone ever again. I hope the company spirals into burning oblivion.

They have been great with me, no complaints here.

Could just have used a real internet line. £9 a month for ADSL. Cheap as fuck, clearly aren't a massive gamer so latency is a non-issue. Laughing

Wasn't this discussed here not long ago?

Just wait until something goes wrong!

I was pretty pleased too, until this little saga happened.

The two aren't related.

If I was complaining about download speeds, then maybe. But actually it was alright, up to 14mb when I last tested it. My new network barely sits around 6mb (which is still enough for me, as I am indeed not a gamer!).

Can you not speak to your bank and explain the provider are criminals and have the payment returned that way? Add a payment block on them too in case they try to take more money (despite the account not existing).

It does sound like something created cheaply but without a single thought given to loopholes and problems. The last thing I would want to be doing with a company is discussing accounts on a social platform.

Upgrading to unlimited data because you didn't want a land line.

They go hand in hand.

However... I don't rely on mobile data in the UK, only abroad, hence 3.

The two really aren't related. Upgrading an account should not involve it being disconnected and disappeared from the company database.

I think you're just trying to score points because you still think that anyone who ever wants to use the internet in their home should do it with a landline. It isn't the 2010s any more Wink, get with the times.

Thanks, but I've got with Three now. £16 a month and ready for 5G when it happens (probably in about ten years time where I am Laughing)

Went for 24 month contract though, rather than the 1 month rolling thing.

There was a mistake on my first bill, it was rectified in 10 minutes and they gave me £10 credit on my next bill as an apology.

Have you ever wondered if you just pissed them off so badly they deleted your account?

I've been with Vodafone... feck... I can't remember how long, over 10 years at least. About 3 years ago they upgraded all their CRM systems and they've not been the same since Sad

Luckily I still pay by invoice so any time the bill get's royally fucked up I just have to complain and say I'm not paying till they sort it. Feck all chance if they've already pulled the money by DD.

My life revolves around a proper fast stable connection with zero or as close as damn it latency. Mobile connection is for the weak.

Maybe someone in billing has seen the drivel he posts on here and taken the opportunity to troll him IRL.

They must have seen the drivel I post on here and thought I was under 25.

(No there are no age rules on it. I'm pretty sure that would be considered age discrimination of some sort)
