Not really whiskey but Irish Mist is nice for a change from Southern Comfort.

Interesting. I've always liked a sniffter of Southern but I didn't think there was anything to change to.
I'm not a whiskey lover.
I did receive a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire for Xmas which I quite like, very similar to the bottle of Fireball I also like.

Pray tell what local hooch that would be, I didn't think Shetland had any distilleries.

Highland Park. Orkney, not Shetland Smile

I'm an Islay man, much to my dad's disappointment (Lots of family history with distilleries on the Spey.). Laphroig, Lagavulin, or maybe an Ardbeg. As with everything with me, it depends on my mood and how much peat, smoke etc I want. For a change I venture for a Glenfarclas 105 - That's by far the best Highland to my palette - it's cask strength though, so it catches the unwary out quickly.

Will also happily agree that the Lidl Islay is decently drinkable for under £20 a bottle if chilled (with stones, not fucking ice, you heathens!)

I do miss whisky since quitting alcohol altogether. Used to love a Glenmorangie. also quite liked the taste of penderyn, although that probably has a lot to do with the distillery being right next to my Office

Put your tumblers in the freezer before using them, if you must have it cold.

My top 3 are Black Bush, Glenmorangie and Bunnahabain.

And a 16yo Bushmills single malt for a treat.

American Whiskey not Bourbon because Bourbon needs to be made from fresh casks apparently. This uses ex Bourbon casks.

Whiskey fans out in Japan when I was there used to drink Suntory Whiskey but as I'm not a Whiskey drinker I can't remember the actual version.
