Ok so maybe this strictly speaking isn't the right place as it's to do with my car; the subframe on my Subaru is slightly corroded and it'd be nice to help prevent any more as I don't want to bin off the car just yet - any reason why ACF50 wouldn't be suitable for giving the underside of the car a good coating? Or would Waxoyl be a better choice?

If the marketing blurb is to be believed ACF50 can be sprayed everywhere . . .

Cheers

No reason you couldn't use it. May work out expensive.

Or get it up and a ramp and underseal it?

It'll wash off in short order.

Proper rustkilla and underseal are your friend.

Grease might be OK. I like Waxoyl, though. The "clear" paint-on stuff, not the black or the spray-on. Note, whaever you put on is useless if it's over flaky paint or dirt, you will have to clean the thing you're coating. Waxoyl goes on best when it and the component are reasonably warm.

I don't like the old-fashioned plastic/rubber underseal. It cracks, traps water (even salty water) behind, and if you want to get it off it's a swine even if it is still stuck on to some extent. Don't use a wire cup brush, the results are very, very messy.
