Looking back to my comment from page 1 of this thread:

I think Rins more than deserves a mention here. Not you specifically, but motogp commentary was falling over itself to say "Marquez is awesome" 11th to 2nd is one great ride. But 10th to 1st is awesomer in my book.

The Suzuki looks like a weapon in the corners!

Agreed - the commentary is very biased a lot of the time. They keep banging on about McPhee too and whilst i wish he'd do better, he's an also ran as far as the general race goes.

That said, it's still 100% better than watching football even though it makes BT Sport horrendously bad value Sad

That circuit more than any other highlights the attitude of each bike.
The Honda with its new linkage looked almost user friendly and almost turned like a Suzuki which again shines a light of how odd this season is.

The Yams were the slowest but always turned well.... now the slowest bike wins...but maybe not for long.

Title..open. Thumbs Up

So is the Suzuki technically the slowest bike?

One of the lowest top speeds.

Also the Yamaha bikes as they're reputed to have knocked 500rpm off for mechanical sympathy purposes.

It all depends on the depends. Is the Ducati the fastest...on a drag strip? Yes.

Suzuki haven't been seen as a top speed bike whenever I've seen their top speeds on screen. They're maximising their potential that's for sure.
Different track with different surface and temperatures and factor in rider experience and that throws the whole slowest/fastest bike thing out the window.
Is it Alex Marquez finally getting to grips with the Honda? Is it the new shock they're using? Was it that Aragon is his home track? Did a cold Le Mans allow him to get a podium? Did the podium give confidence...blah blah

Rumour is that Marc Marquez may need a third operation on his arm and that he's done for 2020.

Spanish media.

Last time I saw a pic of Cal's arm it wasn't a pretty sight although he has mentioned it's healing now.

Marc has posted this

We continue with the recovery

Then a pic of him doing bicep curls.

No pics of chin-ups or anything shoulder related. Whistle

I can understand the speculation, his right arm movement does look very stiff in the video of him watching Alex last weekend.

And that in terms of wins / podiums ' career success vs time in the job, he's eclipsed all but the very very best.

I wonder...

If Marc was unable to ride again, would they try and retain Cal for next year?

I reckon they might take Dovi on a short contract pending a Marquez return

Not many places left

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ek8Gl7PUUAADgCQ?format=jpg&name=medium

Nakagami just said that all 4 riders will be on the latest Honda.

Dovi testrider for KTM is becoming less likely unless he's willing to take a big pay cut...well.... less than Dani.

Maybe Yamaha would like him...y'know seeing as Jorge on the M1 was slower during the Portimao test than the Aprilia riders who used R1s. Laughing

That is why I love MotoGP. So many potential winners. Next thing my late grandmother will have a place on the front row.

Really enjoying young Alex Marquez exploits. He's full of confidence. So he will likely crash out of the race.

Just got the half season video pass, get to watch everything and then some. Wish I knew about it before. Albeit at low res and buffering because the internet is so bad in the middle of nowhere. At least I don't have to commute (wrong thread)

How come Kawasaki isn't involved with MotoGP?

Moto3: Great race, pity mcphee was dusted up, but he was in the fight towards the end of the race.

Moto2: Can't believe people aren't going crazy about Lowes tbh, his head is firmly in the right place at the moment and he's on such a good streak. Commentator summed it up saying old Lowes would have destroyed the bike in warmup, which is probably true. And Dixon coming on strong too, great to see the Brits doing well.

Motogp: Not sure why cal has it in for Hodgson but NH did show how close miller was to cal in last race at the start, and he did also call it with Nakagami, his to lose. Also wondering why his warm up was so slow at the start. Weird. Oh and the other commentator saying 'Alex Marquez looking good for the win' when there was 17 laps left and he was in 5th... not even near the leaders.... wtf? Anyway, boring race apart from the crashers.

Dixon busted his wrist.
Rossi is back.
Question mark over Maverick due to someone in his team testing positive.
and naughty naughty Yamaha.

Quote:
Yamaha have released a statement saying that 'due to an internal oversight and an incorrect understanding of the current regulation, Yamaha omitted to give prior notification to and gain approval from the MSMA for the use of valves by two manufacturers.'

Who do you guys fancy for the win? I'm going for Morbidelli in the dry and I would say Alex in the wet would be up there but no point because he'll crash out. I'd like him and Honda to do well in general

Who do you want to win and who do you think will win?

Vinales will be racing this weekend.

@ struan80. I think Jack Miller has a good chance of winning this Sunday. [edit] if it had stayed wet FFS!!!

Sam Lowes ...another late bloomer from the uk. He's been open about about his visits to a sports psychologist and is currently exuding coolness and confidence. Gotta win it this weekend.

Kawasaki....they're currently not really interested in sperging ten million quid (plus cost of riders) in a prototype class.

McPhee....frustrates me.

Moto3 championship contenders are emulating the top class riders. Nobody wants to win it.

Now Bertie Anus (championship leader) has been black flagged. Rolling Eyes

Iannone gets 4year ban, dated from 17 December last year.

*Crutchlow close to signing with Yamaha as test rider.

*Dovi would consider stepping in for Marquez if Marc can't return in 2021.
