Yeah seems unlikely he'll be back next week as Brivio suggested he might be.

Looks like Cal took a nasty tumble this morning too, and McPhee at the end of Moto3.

Wonder if it's the temperatures or the lack of recent racing but seems to have been a few fast and hard falls over the weekend.

Looks like shoulder again. That is probably his season over already. Hope it isn't worse than that.

^^^Yes...it did look a tad on the flappy side of normal.

Good little race overall.

[edit] replay looks more like the wrist.

Not to overshadow Fast Fabio's first win but this...

The way if flopped about looked like wrist/forearm to me. Nasty crash anyway.

Seems likely that both Rins and Marquez will miss a few races now. They'd have been my 1st and 2nd prediction for the championship winner this year.

That was a cracker of a race day!

About time for Fabio - hard work and patience pays off.

As for Marquez, that first save was mind boggling and to go from that to hacking your way back through to the top three was the mark of a world champion for me.

That the Honda decided to then spit him off was just the nature of the beast I think. Doesn't take away any of the skill required to get that far and that's why he's won so many races / titles.

On the plus side it opens 2020 right up for everyone to have a fair crack at getting some points before the fallen get back on a bike.

Not sure how many of those kinds of tumble anyone can take before career limiting turns into career ending.

“Marc Marquez has suffered an injury it seems from a direct impact of the tyre to the right arm,” said MotoGP traumatology specialist Dr Xavier Mir, “resulting in a fracture to the shaft of the humerus, a complete fracture, although it isn’t completely displaced, with some possible paralysis of the radial nerve, although we’re not certain.

Here's hoping for a good outcome.

Very pleased for Quat, he deserved that win!

That save from MM though, I don't know what speed processor the team are running in 'his' brain but that's superb AI, even if it is pushing the physics engine to unbelievable outcomes.

I think the front tyre probably overheated due to overclocking in the brain.

^^^Some serious overclocking he's got going on.

From the moment the front lost traction to him pushing up with knee then elbow, work out he was heading for the gravel..get the bike upright..scrub a bit more speed off then modulate the throttle through the deep gravel trap... and he still nearly got that podium.

Remarkable to think of the champions and winners he passed going back through the pack and with relative ease.

Says he's aiming to be back for Brno.

Ah come on!! You're handing them to me now on a plate!

I must admit I've not spotted a Skynet sponsor decal on the Honda ... yet ...

He's having a fitness test today at 13:30pm.

He wants to race this weekend.

That's not normal thinking for someone to break their upper arm bone last weekend and compete the following week. Shocked

Rins and Crutchlow also declared fit to race.

Certainly wouldn't happen if he were a foosballer, he'd be out for the rest of the season

It really does my nut in thinking there are whole generations of youngsters growing up idolising footballers, with their cheating/faking/patheticness, thinking that is how you get on in life

They all need to start watching some proper sport, with proper men who get up after a fall and get stright back on that old horse

I don't see how he can possibly race, this weekend. I'd written him off for the next two races in my head. I'll believe it when I see it!

I suppose one thing to bear in mind is that last week I'm pretty sure everybody who finished scored points? If next weekend is as bad then I guess it's worth being on track just to get something on the board at the end of the race.

If he does race this weekend and finishes well, there is no way the guy is human.

He will not be the first to race on a freshly titainium patched break. Ive never looked into what drugs they give them for racing but Marquez, race better with it. Should be a good race.

MM just walked back to the motorhome after doing less than a lap of qualifying.

If...if he does decide to race it'll be from the back.

[edit]

Seen his arm looking very swollen.

Silly man if he races tomorrow.

This season is getting weirder....especially for Yamaha.

That's a lot of 'bad' engines.

Pitlane starts to be expected, quite soon by the look of it.

I have to take Yamaha's word that it's only a sensor issue that forced them to ask for special dispensation to return the engines to Japan.
I mean it's not like racing in general doesn't stretch the truth.

Well, that race kept me interested.

Fast Fabio...wow!
Rossi...fair do he did really well (yet I suspect Vinny didn't have the setup or the minerals to do a Rossi on Rossi...i.e punt him out of the way).

What a shame the Dukes couldn't join in.

Yeah...good race.
