PostPosted: 15:41 - 28 Dec 2019    Post subject: Turkey carcass disposal - advice needed Reply with quote

My food bin is full and I have a turkey stiff to get rid of. Don't want to bury it as the dog will dig it up. Don't want to break it into bits and put it into neighbour's bins as I have 'form' for that already. Don't want to put it into the general rubbish as it'll smell.

Currently considering four options:

1. Tie a rope to it, leave it in the river overnight and catch some eels.

2. Boil off all the remaining meat and save it for next Christmas. Give it to the kids as a build-yourself raptor kit.

3. Spray it with glue, cover it with glitter and plastic flowers, and use it as an Easter bonnet.

4. Rent it out as a Posh Spice lookalike.

Any practical suggestions would be most appreciated...

My dear old mum used to boil the carcass with some veg, seasoning etc and made an excellent turkey soup. I preferred it to the Xmas dinner tbh.

Take what meat is left and put to one side.
Break the carcass into small pieces and boil them up until it all falls apart.
Tip through a strainer into another bowl and allow to cool.
Once cool, put in fridge to set.
The fat will set on the surface and you can scrape it off.
You will be left with a lovely jelly/stock that you can use to make a delicious homemade soup Thumbs Up

Yum!

Super super boiled carcass is less likely to smell and a broken carcass is easier to dispose of.

I refuse to enter into a discussion where Yorkshire is involved.
Fugging mongtards think they invented everything.
They're obviously incorrect because the Scotch also claim that.

Its what's left over after I boiled it down for the stock, unfortunately. Thanks for the tips though, but I still have it to get rid of. I am tempted to put it under my mate Paulie 'three-sheds' third shed for warm weather hilarity...

Do not not just throw shit onto the grass and let foxes come steal it?

I literally launch food, it'll either rot or be dragged away by ferals.

Can you not do the old 'put it in a plastic bag and dump it in the bin in the local park' trick?

just don't let the local tramp see you do this, as they will very upset that you (unlike them) were stuffing your face at Christmas Twisted Evil

Or just chuck it over a neighbour's fence, preferably a few doors down to hamper it coming back.

Use King29's neighbourhood rat-infestation to clean the bones. Then give them to Val so he can cast them to the floor and predict the future.

I have an incinerator, it’s quite simply an oil drum, I tend to get about 3 years out of one.

A little late I know but a handy tip. If you have any old shit you want to get rid of, put it in a bin liner and drop outside a charity shop. It can't be called fly tipping as people think you are a good Samaritan taking things over to the shop for the needy.

Broken DVD players, unwanted household stuff, I've got rid of plenty like that.

I really don't know whether to applaud your ingenuity or call you a cvnt. Laughing
