That's a very long long long way.

Personally wouldn't bother. DVD is shit tier quality. Just download the latest 1080p copy of it. Less space more than likely. Laughing

DVD ripping is a chore at best
aint done it or had a DVD/Blueray for years

I've downloaded and collected nearly 4TB of movies and tv shows over the years
which is proving to be handy in these not allowed out to play times.
some as old as Nosferatu (1922) and Metropolis (1927) from the usual places.
Of course, these films & TV shows were transferred to digital format by someone prior to my getting them

I have a great 1080p copy of The Seven Samurai (1957?)
and other classic movies.
Going down market, some are of dubious quality
I have Callan (1967-72) , Blakes seven (1978-81) and Lovejoy (90's)
The very old ones are often say 480p ish cos crap video rips but still enjoyable in a nostalgic, dodgy colour, blurry way nonetheless.

If you have home movies transferred from 8/16mm film to DVD in the 90s
then ripping is probably your only option, otherwise you'd be surprised what you can find.

I'm still looking for "Psycho Biker sluts from Hell"(1999) in 1080p or better
Apparently one of the bikes has an interestingly modified tail pipe that I'd
like to see in slo-mo detail for research purposes

No.

https://www.redwap.me/to/psycho-biker-sluts-from-hell/

(spoiler: "Gina stars as Satan and she wants to rule the world by converting women into lesbians with her army of psycho biker sluts from hell. The entire movie is a series of lesbian sex scenes that are very loosely connected to the premise. There are probably more tattoo's and piercings on the women here than in any other movie I've watched in the last 20 years. The movie contains lesbian, multiple partners, toys, strap on's, 69, rimming, and light bondage/fetish. There are 5 distinct scenes here with one scene a continuation of another with two more women. The plot is especially silly and the acting bad. They should have just tossed out the idea since so little is done with it in the first place."

"The first scene involves two biker sluts in a small locker room. The second is a bar scene with some goofy looking male bikers watching the next two sluts. This scene gets new blood halfway through when two more women join them. The third is a three-way on a strip club's stage. The fourth is two women on a pool table. The last is between Gina and two of her minions.

All of the scenes are so similar to one another, with the sole exception of the second half of scene two, that details are a moot point. Suffice it to say that everyone licks, fingers, and uses toys on, each other. Scene 2.5 introduced a bit of light S&M and Felecia was fun to watch but otherwise, the whole thing sucked donkey balls."

As mentioned, get yourself a copy of a Bitttorrent client https://www.qbittorrent.org and use either https://rarbg.to/torrents.php or https://thepiratebay.org to get the torrent/magnet files.

You'll likely need a VPN to access either - Digibit https://digibitdesign.com/vpn/ is pretty good - costs £2.50 a month and speeds are really fast (used to use Private Internet Access and their speeds were shockingly slow). Been using them for about a year no with no issues at all.

Another vote for Handbrake. You can use a GPU to speed up encoding too.

Torrents aren't to bad, even I can understand them.

You have to download mu torrent first. Then to download something you just click on the magnet icon.

Biased scandalous filth

Well that's a typically unfair and blinkered appraisal I must say.
How very dare you suggest I'm a filthy old perv who wants to see it for the
unbridled lesbian lust scenes when Im serious motorcyclist researcher
endeavouring to widen the library of motorcycling knowledge for the good of mankind
and save lives.
Honestly, you try and help people....
Sexual arousal and bishop bashing was the last thing on my mind
and I refute these allegations.

You wouldn't do that. You'd use a much better less tracky client.

Reccomend one pls? I used it for years and I loved the schedule mode because my ISP didn't send me slapped wrist emails if I did it between 11pm and 6am. Recently my anti virus flagged it as bad, so I swapped it for the generic one, but it's not as good.

You do not need a VPN for downloading torrents.

Use https://unblockit.me/ to access the latest proxy sites and away you go.

You're welcome. Wub
