If you have a friend or relative who's unfortunate enough to be banged up in a care home, or slightly more fortunately in sheltered accommodation, there's this from TV licencing:

"As a resident of a residential care home, supported housing or sheltered accommodation you may be able to benefit from a concessionary TV Licence. This is known as an Accommodation for residential care (ARC) licence. It costs £7.50 per room, flat or bungalow"

I had not known about this, but found it by accident not long ago. It does not seem to be well publicised. If you know anyone who can use this information, please pass it on appropriately.

I seem to recall it being very well publicised when it was first announced but as that was probably twenty years ago that is unlikely to be remembered by anyone under 40.

Didn't know that. Not that I have any intention of going into a care home. Laughing

I thought if it doesn't have locks on the doors it's counted as the same accommodation and only needs 1 licence.

Anyway, I don't have one for my boat despite having 2 TV's and locks on the doors.

I am such a criminal Cool
