I too am in the market for a new vac so shall watch this topic with interest...
My requirement is for one that is good at picking up dog-hair, pubes and bum-scratchings. If I could get one for £80 I would be well-chuffed!!! ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

This is where you shouldn't turn your nose up at a second-hand hoover. The EU had a clamp-down on "wasteful" vacuum motors so new ones can be a bit anaemic ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

I've spotted the Titan and was hoping someone could give feedback. Nice one.
I had a 3rd hand Henry years ago but left it in a shed over winter and half full of dust and fluff. Warning! DO NOT do that. Lots of mice moved in and made beds in it. The long hose was like an igloo access for them. Those b*stards p*ss and sh*t everywhere and chew everything. They then died in the Henry
It wrote the machine off. Didn't matter how much cleaning I did of it the smell of ammonia and death would appear once the machine warmed up.
Henrys and others seem expensive these days?
Yes that damned stupid power limit for vacuum cleaners. Utter madness. That's exactly why we need actual experts running government and not people with art degrees. Limit the power rating and it takes longer to vacuum clean something and therefore just as much leccy is used.
I've spotted the 1200 Watts limits or thereabouts.
That's an awesome idea for a cyclone system for dirtier zones. Could easily be stored out of the way too. Excellent advice thanks.
A current front runner is this one:

Screwfix has lots of reviews, sorted by "Newest" is useful, perhaps there was a change of spec. because the older reviews are not as good as the newer ones.
They can both blow I see, this is very handy for unblocking hoses or getting rubbish out from behind things. |

i have one of the titan units connected to a cyclone and tub.
all in a small box on wheels.
it gets solid abuse and shows no signs or giving up anytime soon.
the cyclones really do work and put most of the crap in the tub with little getting into the main body of the vacuum cleaner or filter. ____________________ PCX125 (stolen) - CBF600 (current)

I agree: If I had the choice, I'd lay gravel in my house instead of carpeting. No need to clean it - just a rake now and then to level it. ____________________ CCM 404 DS |

I actually have a robot vac (a Xiaomi), that runs before I get up every couple of days, used to be every day, but less wear and tear!.
I have had to use an actual handheld, because stairs, But a RoboRock wins for the domestically failing
I haven't actually used my George for about 18 months! |
