Ahem...

It won't start. The starter turns, there is compression, there is spark, albeit weak, the engine's getting fuel, the plug's new, the coil's new, the plug gets damp, it just wont friggin turn over or even try (no coughing or spluttering)?

I've tried easy start, no dice. Same thing.

Any ideas?

I had this problem recently, turned out that plug was actually sparking between the bottom electrode and the bolt I was holding it against rather than between the two plug electrodes i.e. giving the impression with a cursory glance, of a spark.. It wasn't until I checked it more closely (after some head scratching) that I noticed this. Swapped the plug and bob's your uncle she fired up. Thumbs Up

Edit, My plug was new too, seems its a bit of a lottery with NGK Laughing

Checked the plug gap?

I would try bumping the bike as well.

"Plug gap"... not sure what that is...

Looks like it was only sparking from another metal object though! You were right! Havent got another plug to test this with though, I'll take a look.

Cheers guys

The plug gap is the distance between the two plug electrodes, should be 0.7-0.8mm according to the manual. You measure it using feeler gauges, but its safe to say that 0.7mm ain't that wide Smile Hope you get it running soon Thumbs Up
