Hey.. I often have to use wired earphones to use sat nav when out but the wire is doing my head in. so looking at bluetooth, but most have controls on the device, which the helmet will no doubt touch, some have the controls on the wire but seem close to where the chin will be and also touch controls, surely its more simple than im finding it haha

help

I used a pair of cheap bluetooth earbuds from amazon (enacfire e19) for about a year combined with one of those handlebar bluetooth remote control, total cost £50. The headphones are actually pretty nice, I ended up using them at work too Thumbs Up
Regarding the fit in the helmet it was a bit hard to get it right at first but with a bit of adjustment it was fine although it probably depends on the inside padding.

Super cheap in-ears, £2 from Ali Express. Have a cord with the control inline, but offset. The shorter side makes it fit at the back of my neck warmer, so it get's tucked in there.

They work, last for about 3 hrs with music on, and I carry multiple pairs. Zero fucks given if they get wet, lost, whatever.

For the bike I use one of these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283617723711

M1S Pro Bluetooth set

I use one of these solo, lasts a full day of riding without problem with music playing and connected to phone for calls. Means I can still wear earplugs.

I also use it with a pillion and for work, easily lasts a full 8 hour shift+ of chatting to other riders in intercom mode and can converse at 80mph. Range is good.

I really can't see any reason to spend on expensive Sena and Scala sets over these. They are a little better, mesh a tad easier with a slightly better range but nowhere near enough to justify the price (previously used Scala PackTalks for work).

For day to day use (and previously on the bike) I use a cheap set of Taotronics earphones I bought cheap on amazon. Do the job well enough for mp3s/Spotify. Those also last about 10 hours.

None of the cheap ones have decent in-ears. If you can be bothered, easy to modify, stick a bigger lipo cell in, mount inside helmet on chinguard, prefer phillips in-ears, with the effort to re-solder the wire.

I've been using one of these for the past two years. Zero issues. Has gone through all sorts of weather and just does what it does.

after some serious geekin out time, Ive gone for ear pods of a low prices nature.
Testing was good, nice sound, comfort wise unsure, my theory was in ear would be comfy. i do like the ideas of putting permanent in the helmet and that could still happen, but need bluetooth and not wired.
i dont mind the low cost to try them out, if crap my mrs wants em lol
