My new-to-me bike has a Remus Revolution carbon can on it (real thing, not some knockoff with a carbon sticker), which is very nice indeed. Problem is, it's obscenely loud, and I'll need to leave for work at 05:30 on the odd occasion.

I can't find any baffles, or indeed anything worthwhile on the Remus site. Anyone know anywhere I can look to get one? I'd rather try to baffle it, than have to replace it.

It's kinda blowy, cold and wet out there, so this is as good as it's getting for now.

While I have no doubt I can chuck a generic inline baffle between can and link pipe, I doubt it'll do a huge amount. Usually one inside of the end can that forces the gas through the glass/ceramic has a much greater effect, and they're usually specific to the can. I can't emphasise just how obnoxious this thing is in the morning.

I would imagine all the fibre glass inside has turned to carbon fibre Wink Plenty of YouTube videos of ppl repacking these. It's a pain but you're probably gonna have to drill those rivets out Sad

That's not a problem to do if I need to (work perks), but as exhaust gases take the path of least resistance, they won't go through the ceramic blanket I put in there, so I still need a baffle to make them go through the blanket and not straight out.

Did the Remus Revolution originally have a baffle? I've got a round, carbon Remus Innovation on the ZX6R and I can look straight through it when it's off the bike. It's not too loud even after 20 years and I've never repacked the liner

I think tone is as important as volume when it comes to offensiveness or otherwise. My neighbour has twin Yoshi's on his Blackbird and they sound lovely and burbly. A kid round the corner has a non-standard can on his 125 and it's loud but the tone is "fingernails across a blackboard." (One for the Dads there Laughing ).

Ah sorry, my mistake! I read it as exhaust has got loud not that it was always like it Doh!

I'm sure I have seen ones with a bend for your sort of exhaust end. Probably gonna be a bit hit or miss but try "angled baffle" on eBay:

If it originally came with a baffle, have you tried contacting Remus directly?
Scorpion were very helpful when I asked them a few questions.

This link suggests early Revolutions had no baffle but later ones did. No answer to your question though.

Looks like mine hasn't got an official baffle. I'll try an inline one, maybe swap it over to the Viffer, and put the baffled Delkevic on the Suzuki.

Cheers for the input.
