...so I'm feeling a little nervous, if I'm being honest! I know I can do it, I'm just worried about a little fuck up. I can see me getting a couple of minors for things like clutch control, the ER5 can be a bit tempermental at junctions, and I'm just not always using the gentle touch it requires.

Other than that, my maneuvres are all there, my hill starts are ok, I'm fine in traffic, and my observation is good, so hopefully I should be ok! Just worried that I will make some stupid cockup at the last minute and ruin it all Very Happy

Still, test is at 1333hrs tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for me, ehh?

/me goes away to swot up on all of the threads here on passing your test.....

Good luck to you mate Thumbs Up Relax and you'll be fine I'm sure.

Just out of interest, what's wrong with 1330? Seems bizarre to be so specific with the time Confused

I think the thought someone else put on here, that pulling out when you shouldn't from a junction is a fail while missing a chance, to pull out is only a minor fault, even then only if you have a stickler of an examiner.

I kept telling myself, I love riding, I love riding during my test.

Well, best of luck! Thumbs Up

No idea mate - I asked the same question! Cheers for the good wishes though, if I fail, I can blame you for not bigging me up enough!

Kidding, obv. Wink

Aye, thats how I've been playing it. Apparantly the examiner I am likely to have is pretty free and easy, as long as you are an obviously safe rider. At the end of the day, as you say, they can only give you minors if they get narked at your progress, as you can claim it wasnt safe to proceed.

When I did my test, before we set off, on the show and tell bit, first off was the tyre question and i rattled off the answer like a well oiled machine.
Then was aked where the emergency engine kill switch was. Not sure what happened, i just went blank.
I was thinking to my self 'Oh well, thats that f*cked then' Laughing

The more i looked for it, the more i could'nt find it Laughing and the more worried i got.

Must have spent well over a minute looking for THE GREAT BIG RED SWITCH that you can't possibly miss (seemed like a lifetime).

All of a sudden I came to my senses and pointed it out.

Passed the test with only four minors (a world record at not finding the kill switch was not one of them) Laughing

Must have been nerves.

I'm sure you'll breeze your test and it's not the end of the world if you fail and have to take it again.

Good luck.

good luck mate. Try not to be nervous, thats when you end up doing stupid things. I just thought of the examiner as my instructor which helped.

Anyway, good luck Thumbs Up

I also remembered how much a pleasure it were to ride a big bike during my training..... it helped me enjoy the experience, hence my enthusiastic writeups on here. Then I just carried that mindset to the test, as in just another chance to ride a big bike Laughing Thumbs Up

I trained myself for my test, it later transpired that my training was a tad overkill. I was doing shoulder checks before moving road position, and life savers before turning right...when walking... Laughing
