That's just sad. Poor little bike, forgotten at the back of the yard Crying or Very sad "Are you lonely, little fella? Would you like to come home with me?" Very Happy
But no, that one doesn't appeal to me as a project though I completely understand the nostalgia is strong.

This one doesn't look too bad if you don't get up close to it:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2014-LIFAN-LF-125-J-MIRAGE-DAMAGED-SPARES-OR-REPAIR-NO-RESERVE-23446/303559775361

But that's only a bike that's had dashed bad luck.

WARNING! The images in the following link may be disturbing to viewers of a sensitive disposition:

Jesus, mother of god.

I take back everything I've ever said about people who have no experience wanting to Bob their cg125. They're in no way as deluded as the person who birthed that monstrosity.

Here's what the frame supposed to look like:

https://suprememotos.com/kawasaki/99943-1987-kawasaki-zx750-fi-black.html

Could be that it was, originally, one of "those" builds, and the guy just stopped. However, it hasn't had an MOT since 2008, so presumably hasn't been on the road since then (which makes the presence of that Ebay speedo and the still-in-packet unused pod filters curious). Things you can't see in the photos: VIN number and the frame's top tube. I'm not sure what's been done to the swingarm - various Google pics of ZX750s show the caliper either above or below. As it's a different colour, perhaps it's a standard one that was bought by the seller after he acquired the frame. This is like a murder mystery.

It's not legit unless it says "L@@K", "Barn find" and/or "not" followed by the bike you were originally searching for in the title of the listing.

I’d ask the seller if the hedge comes with the bike

This nauseating, bad form over function pile of shite started out at £6000
and was last seen offered for £2500 which is still ten times as much as the
few useful parts are worth.

If you are going to cut off the back hoop out of a frame, destroying its structural integrity, at least do it so the seat meets the tank.

I'll give you 99p for it mate , have you got change for a pound?

That tank looks alloy and must have cost a fortune to make , it looks shocking. so does the seat , it would have been quite possible to make a racing style seat that fitted the lines of the frame and had an attractive appearance, meeting the tank , but no lets just bolt on a far too short shop bought seat , at an angle and that will do. 90% of it looks well done but the tank and seat is an aesthetic night mare.

and I thought the gap is to provide the ventilation (so the rider can feel the breeze on their weenier)...

Yep, that's what I thought
Did a pretty good job on the bike then must have started smoking crack
when it came to the tank/seat combo.
WTF was he thinking?
In the listing he reckons it's a 4 grand bike.
that's the crack talking

Found a pic of stock one and IMO it looks miles better

Looks decent apart from the seat and how he tried to pretend it's a BSA. Like all cafe racers though the original always looks far better.

If they don't fit good shocks then they don't understand what a cafe racer is.
