FIFTEEN FOOKIN GRAND

Hi,
As this was purchased in November last year for £5,660 and according to your advert it's got 10% less power than it did when sold last year, I assume £15,000 is a typo?

With that in mind, I think £2,000 would be a fair price and it could be collected today.

Thanks,

Ste

we are told the power output is estimated at 160bhp

I think I'd want a (recent) dyno print. That is phrased so slippery I bet they have no idea what power it makes or they did a power run and the figure was so bad they shredded the slip and put the bike on eBay.

Terminator (1) was a great movie. But Excalibur (1981) was brilliant! How awesome would it be to have a bike painted with themes from Excalibur?

"Honda CX500 street scrambler. Stunning!"
£3850

This really boils my piss

Another bike ruined by chopping the frame and compromising its structural integrity
(which by the way is a mod/bodge that will disqualify it for historical vehicle status) .

The twin shock swinging arms on ZABs were never designed or built to be stressed in that way
when Honda went mono shock on later Eurosport and GL frames they did it properly
and the swinging arms for these are of a much sturdier construction than ZAB types.
Other then looks there is no advantage or benfit to be gain by doing this
its just form over function stupidity.

The only stunning thing is the price asked for an unsafe not fit for purpose pile of shite

Yeah, but he's spent all the money doing it up, that MUST make it worth the asking price, surely?

Agreed - its a cunt's trick and no mistake. 'Street Scrambler' is a fucking oxymoron in any case - they use those tyres cos they're cheap and look 'cool' to fuck-wits. Plus anything with those stupid little seats make me fume - I wonder how long the rear light will lasts too bouncing up and done on the s/a. '

Not even worth the 44p for this miserable sack of scrap. Frankly I'd be embarrassed even to weigh it in.

Its following the usual pathetic pattern isnt it?
Make a bike worse, spray it satin black, obligatory brown seat
Throw in stupid buzz words
Ask ludicrous money for it

Although as a pre-existing Q-plate, you can effectively do whatever the hell you want to it without an MSVA test, it's already assumed to have been radically modified. So it has some monetary value just for that, even if the only thing you keep is the headstiock with the vin on and the registration.

Not worth what they are asking though.

£1950 and under reserve...

Cable management is very poor. Often forgotten in these builds, but so simple to get right. Tut.

I've got issues with that thing
Ignoring the somewhat garish paint job and tarty bits all of which
could easily be changed.

His 'important parts' list shows he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Bollox to the carbs and easy tarty jobs, what about the cam chain, stator and mech seal
for starters?
At that age and mileage and a 20 odd year lay up
it should have at least had the engine dropped, the front rear covers off and the
truly important jobs done FFS.
Then, these bikes are able to clock up mile after mile in a reliable if unspectacular way.

"this is not just a tarted up pile of junk , it is a good quality rebuild and transformation"
Seriously?
I see nothing to support that claim, I could pic holes in it all day long

I could see myself catching my ankle on that rear light bracket when mounting
Why has he got a tube in the rear wheel? they're tubeless rims!
Sticking a tube in is a lazy bodge.

I'm utterly shite at paint jobs, but even I can see the poor paint job and brush marks
without putting me glarses on.

Honda 'wing' tank badges on the wrong sides of the tank too
