Hideous. but at least its cheap for the moment.
The not turning off is an easy fix, so tells me someone 'improved' and modded the bike without properly understanding how it worked in the first place.

Lovely Comstars tho

The Superdream belongs in the river, but the XJ urgently needs rescuing from an undeserved eternity in undeserved ignominy. Wouldn't take a surgeon to put that right - just needs to go cold turkey on the hormone therapy. The starting price is too high for my taste though.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334453602354?hash=item4ddefcf832:g:-I8AAOSwylVfKHjZ

Posting this here not to kick anyone in the balls, or to say the owner did anything wrong (they absolutely didn't), but for posterity. This might form some kind of record about QC on new Chinese bikes. Or new-ish, anyway (2015).

2015 CFMoto 650 (Kwak ER6 replica)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155539169505

Quote:

For spares or repair -
CF Moto 650i. 2500miles
Bought brand new in 2015 and hardly ever ridden.
Firstly it didn't stop very well, so changed front brakes to ER6 genuine parts.
Then about 4 years ago, the engine management light came on, had numerous people try to fix it to no avail.
Starts and rides no problem, but when warm the light comes back on. Have had the ECU checked and told it's okay. Someone else has said that's its a bare wire somewhere in the loom.

Don't commute anymore, so no longer required.

Not taxed or tested.

Please message for any other information.

A 2015 Chinese bike? Probably just get it crushed Smile

"Engine warning light came on 4 years ago" Rolling Eyes First thing I'd suspect is the oxygen sensor on the exhaust. Chinese knock-offs don't last very long.

Divvys appear to be the most popular and yet unsuitable (IMO) bike for the amateur butcher.

This bloke tried hard but alas, another huge fail..

I was particularly aghast at the picture of him proudly showing the clean piston crown while muck, grit and small rodents have been gien free passage to drop in the crankcase..[/img]

I’m conflicted with this one. What do people think about colour-coded engines?

The geometry of those bikes is weird. I used to scrape the footpegs on mine (on purpose, because of chicken strips) and never got to less than 8mm-ish chicken strips on the rear tyre. Also ground out the bolts on the nasty Motad 4-into-1 joining pipes.

The best thing about that bike is the custom exhaust though.

The blue is kind of nice but overall it's too much
why not paint the tyres and seat too?

I like the way both the number plate and the headlight are pointing in roughly the same direction.
