Nothing special but I noticed some new 2T bikes are still on the market here.
Kawasaki Ninja RR150 made in Thailand
I think this bike is one of the last 2T bike manufactured road legal.

https://motorcycle.goobike.com/motorcycle/bike/stock_8501043B30161105001/

Around JPY 530,000(£3,690)
This looks expensive but around the same with one when they were started selling in 2015.(because imported ones)

Bike mag article about NinjaRR150
https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.webike.net%2F2015%2F11%2F26%2F26590%2F

--edit--
I checked other 2T bikes and found another "new" one
RZV500R
JPY3,927,000(£27,460)
https://motorcycle.goobike.com/motorcycle/bike/stock_8700214B30180927001/

https://www.goobike.com/spread/8700214B30180927001/index.html?disp_ord=1

I wonder how come 198* 2T bike is still sold as new.
Though stated as "new" I found some rust in pics in the below url.(disappointed)
-----
I know KTM is still making race fuel injected 2T offroads.
Then why don't they make road legal ones.
Won't they sell well Question

KTM may be setting themselvess up for a return to the street-legal market with emissions-friendly, street-legal 2-strokes – which, after a decades-long hiatus, would be a fun, powerful, and fascinating type of machine that would likely be welcomed with open arms to today’s market!

P.S. for me the only 2T bike was 2002 LS125R I bought in 2004.
Due to displacement I couldn't go on motorway here, and sold it.
I still regret I didn't buy KRR150 which was next to LS125R on the shop then.

That RR150 looks alright, over 25bhp is pretty reasonable output.

The RGV250 (RZV) was probably put into storage in the hope of making a profit, you see it here in the UK from time to time, invariably with a ridiculous asking price!

I do like a good two stroke, I have an RS125 Tuono and my first big bike was a TDR250. I don't see them ever making a proper come back though. Modern 4t 125s are nippy enough for what they do, legislation stops them being any quicker or lighter.

What is the minimum in Japan? In the UK it's 50cc!

I'm amazed that those sorts of bikes ever existed. To someone in Western Europe you'd always expect countries like Thailand and Indonesia to have been knocking out just cheap 125/150cc clones of old Japanese ride to work hacks like CB's, CG's and C90's etc.

In the same way that the Indian's do, as they don't have a market or need for superbikes in Delhi or Mumbai etc.

I guess like the Japanese had with their late 1980's 250/400cc class warfare, the Thai industry must have had a 150cc race to the top and one upmanship era?

Compared to NSR150 (39.5HP), RR150 (29HP) seems not too much high tuned and fairly newer, maybe last chance to go. NSR150 was until 2002, it became too old, there's no used ones anymore here. It's same with 250 class here too, shops are selling with super expensive price if lower mileage. Maybe collector's items now.
RS125 Tuono looks very fun to ride I'm envious! TDM250 became rare here too. I remember 15BHP is the limit of 125 class in U.K. Maybe 15BHP from 4T 125 is enough specs to limit.

It's same with U.K. 50cc is the minimum class. And I forgot I had NS50F too Embarassed

125/150 in Thailand is a Big market(125 for entry/economic 150 for experienced). And Kawasaki was making 2T bikes till around 2017. Honda Monkey/Cub 125 are made there and imported now. They make 250 and 400 of Honda too(2 cylinder type). GSX-S125 is made in Indonesia. For above reason, GSX-S150 is sold in Thailand and 125 is sold in U.K. and Japan.

They seriously haven't changed since the early 80's ER design. Sure, decals change- but still have the PEI (contactless) 6v ignition and lamps!

This article is quite intersting...

https://www.unitexport.com/ethiopia-motorcycles/

Also listed on Suzuki's own website. Though they are.. quite expensive!
https://www.globalsuzuki.com/motorcycle/products/ts185er/

The bike was sold for the whole world until the mid 80's.. North America were very fond of it. In Africa and South America it was still sold until at least the mid 2000's. Sold in Egypt new too.

Anyway- It would be nice to buy one, and then swap the frame to a 1979/1980... Tax and MOT exempt- but brand new bike!

Not at the price they're selling the race ones for; I doubt it.
As 2 strokes were typically a way to go quickly on a fairly limited budget for road use.
You can buy road legal EXC 2 stroke models in the UK however I'm pretty sure.

It's sad but although 2-strokes are simple and efficient creatures we all respect highly their time has come to go the way of the Dodo. The world has moved on Sad Performance > all is no longer a thing outside competitive sports.

Do your bit and save an old 2-stroke from oblivion Thumbs Up
