We will soon have to wear masks in shops. So I bought:

https://www.medisave.co.uk/surgical-face-masks-type-iir-x-50.html

I hope this is useful to someone; if you've a better deal, you could post it!

I'm sure it was a process brought up by JackButler whilst he advised BoJo on his latest agenda, hence why it's fucking idiotic and miles too late.

I just will stop shopping in shops, they will deliver to me anyway Confused

Better late than never, I think. If it helps get the rate down further, it can only be a good thing. I personally want this virus to be as low a level as possible, or die out entirely if we can arrange it. Jerk seems to've effed off. I wonder whose sock he was. Well, I don't, really, I don't care.

Have they actually defined "face covering?"

Could I just wear my midge net? You can smoke and drink through that.

I have a Rorscharche (off Watchmen) fancy dress costume with a thermochromic mask that "moves" as you breathe in and out....

Since I can't hook an elastic over what remains of my left ear, I'm going to try Tesco tomorrow with my bike neck tube pulled up over my face.

Surely pubs are more dangerous than shops for transmission?

Ah. You can get a thing that you put the elastic straps of the mask through and it goes behind your head, so the straps don't pull behind your ear(s) and make them sore. I hope this is helpful.

My masks bought from that firm arrived this morning. Good service!

I wish I hadn't binned my S10 respirator after I left the RAF and they somehow failed to take it back off me.

Oh, I should think they are. However, the idea is to reduce transmission where reasonably possible. If you're having drinks or eating things, it's impractiable to wear a mask, it would become soggy and soiled with food.

I have never used one. I did use a oxygen rebreather a few times, not "in anger", which wasa interesting. I can't even remember what it was called, a "Proto Set" maybe. It had no drinking tube!

I wonder what would happen if you went into a shop wearing one of those S10 things! Screams I should think! "Aliens!".

That's why I'm so disappointed that I got rid of it. I'd like to find out. Twisted Evil Better if I also had a full NBC kit.
Just dug my neck tube out. It'll work, can fold it double and it's elasticated, stays put.

I suspect most people would think you're some kind of sad military reject fantasist.

They'd probably call you Ashley

Unsure of your reasons for using a map from about four months ago but here's an up-to-date version.
