Well it's pretty obvious who's going to get the vote - Layla Moran.

Why?

She's a smarmy git.
She's female
She's ethnic (Palestinian)
She's a Pansexual (or lesbian cause she munches girlies)

Just right for the libdems.

I don't think it matters who's leader.

They will be remembered for attempting to prevent Brexit after the democratic decision had been made. A gross sin against democracy.

Most people won't consider voting for them. Those that will, will do so regardless.

She is however 110% privileged!

- Privately educated
- Father was a diplomat for the European Union, very well connected
- Studied at Imperial College London and UCL

Nick Clegg saying “I pledge to vote against any increase in fees in the next parliament" will also be remembered.

Oh I totally agree. It's just there are so many virtue tick boxes with this one the libdems will love her.

But nobody else will, which is why it's so perverse. One of the daft excuses made to explain why Jo Swinson's Lib Dems failed so badly in the face of an open goal was to blame it on a backward electorate by saying the country "wasn't ready for a woman leader." I think it's nonsense but if you truly believed that you wouldn't nominate another woman as party leader (with added posh, foreign and allegedly lesbian factors) if you wanted to gain seats in Westminster. It reminds me of Corbyn's leadership, supported so fanatically by a core membership that they forget he's not popular elsewhere, then wilfully support Corbynist candidates to succeed him.

Sticking to your guns is one thing, but when the country keeps rejecting what you're offering you are not an effective opposition and you need to change your message. It's not like the Tories are wildly popular, they're just the least-worst option in the current political climate. Desperate times.

agreed, and as when they loose another election/by election they will undoubtedly blame 'those stupid white folk' or people giving in to 'populism'

I don't know why, but the way that I see them (and some of the people that work in this office that I am in ) They always come across as the elite 'smug peoples' party. why? simple, It is because most of the people who supports them...are guardian newspaper readers....I read their paper online every now and then, and the amount of times they blame populism/racism for problems is becoming predictable.

I don't normally pay attention to politics, but seeing the boris kick the crap out of them in the last election, put a massive smile on my face

I'm not really bothered.

Just wheel out the next virtue signaler off the production line of privilege. Completely out of touch with how the working people feel.

Where do they get these social misfits from?
In a democracy we need folk who can fit in.

Rug Muncher and Man Hater/Hitter too.

Interesting. I see that indeed, in 2013, she slapped her boyfriend one.

Probably for not being a woman.

However 'The charges were later dropped.", so not in the Caroline Flack league. One does wonder if things would have been different had the slapper been the slapee.
