And it's only the first week!

Mate at work with the CBR600RR is a bit of an exhaust note dick nut so he threw down the gauntlet as soon as I even mentioned changing the exhaust.

Just for fun BTW, stock exhaust is back on for now. Obviously you don't get the volume but you get a vague idea of the tone.

No silencer (i.e. just the cat) is obviously fricking loud but the change in tone just by adding a few inches of pipe* was quite surprising. More surprising is the bargain bin end from my junk pile. Barely any difference in decibel output and yet considerably smaller.

I messed with my silencer too. The nuts and bolts I used to block off the holes in my baffles were starting to get a bit rusty so I replaced them with pop rivets.
Not the most technical mod but I did have to make a little extension for the rivet gun so that it could reach inside the back of each baffle.

Couldn't tell you, I got as far as that 20 seconds or so of video and the wife came out to scowl at me Shocked

All a bit of fun originally but when looking at exhaust systems on the Rebel (which everyone poo-pooed but the stock is annoying in that you have to remove it to use a paddock stand) one needs a link pipe and any old slip on that you fancy. A pair starts at ~£140.

A bent piece of pipe? Any angle you like £12 Smile Gonna go at the one I have with an angle grinder - cut it down a bit, "add" some slots - and then lob on the junk pile slip-on I have.

After that I'm considering knocking up a version of this:

Some variation on 15° bend, slash cut and a cheap baffle:

Certainly easier and cheaper than $65 + shipping + import charges! Personally I don't care for something so raucous but there might be a market for it Thinking

Sounds like a good plan.
