Look on AutoTrader bikes. There's a 03 suzuki gn 125 with 11k on it for £995 thats a great little runaround for little money. Even has a gear indicator. Thats better than spunking out over double for what is essentially a sporty looking bike with a similar engine.

thought i'd update everyone. I got a Honda CBR125 2007 for £800 with little bits to do, engine if fine with only 18,000 miles. Now we got to wait till October to have one year NCB discount Smile

Good choice.

I rode around for a couple of years on YBR125 on my CBT, after which I sold it for exactly what I originally paid for it. Best value motoring I've ever had.

If you look after it you should easily recoup your £800 outlay when you come to move onto a bigger bike.

I know Teflon Mike wrote an essay, but getting an a1 licence asap is a good idea. It'll start the 2 year 6 point countdown, and (as there's no tests currently) the theory you do will likely cover you to do an A2 the day you turn 19.
