Maybe vets and medics have a different concept of "airborne". When I think airborne, I think pig units with foot and Mouth Disease where you can map a perfect downwind tear-drop of secondary cases with a 15 mile radius.

Comparatively simple to get those kind of airborne infection under control though. .. You simply go in on day 1 and shoot every infected animal and all the ones in direct contact with them, then come back the day after and shoot all everything on the neighbouring premises too.

Worth remembering next time someone says it's harder to be a vet than a doctor.

Perhaps a tad Draconian but it would possibly prevent the moronic from Donnering around town.

Maybe just Vets and Doctors patrol our high streets armed with Daktari Guns.
Then have the Cooncil Bin lorry secure the tranquilised to secure barn somewhere to sit out a quarantine period.

Yes. Then when we get an antibody test, anyone who hasn't had it yet could wear a yellow t-shirt to let other people know they're in isolation...

Actually, make it simpler, maybe a badge of some sort. A star or something.

Or they could be moved to special isolation camps to keep them away from the rest of the population for their own safety.

Wait! What?

In fairness, we need to be VERY careful where this leads.

Maybe those that feel they are vulnerable should wear a coloured tabard to allow others to give them a wide berth.

More bikers out in the Dales today. Tons of them. All the weekend dickheads without a jot of road sense performing badman overtakes. Lots of groups parked up in the tourist spots. No fucks given about corona. None at all.

I witnessed this on my little ride out yesterday. Huge groups congregating. Didn't actually see that many bikers on the roads though, if anything even less than usual - they all seemed to be parked up chatting! FWIW I filled up with a disposable glove and binned it afterwards, took my own snack and drink - zero contact with anyone else. I did give a damn even if everyone else didn't . . . . in other news, it was pretty cold and ended up crossing two rivers of ice on the Cat & Fiddle! Evidently sodden ground was causing a persistent stream of water across the road and it had frozen. Fortunately only a few metres long so just sat up and coasted across but it added to the excitement . . .

Not just the bikers though...if you read the reports from Snowdonia Park, or the beach fronts at Brighton & Hove, Westen-super-Mare etc. hoardes and hoardes of people congregating and walking along the coastal routes 'enjoying the spring sunshine' not giving two hoots about the virus... treating it all as a bit of a holiday Rolling Eyes

These idiots will mean the government bring martial law in to control movement.
Even if they don't care (As like gamblers, drinkers and smokers don't care about their own personal wellbeing.)
The risk the pose to the community means there needs to be a crack down.
For those in society who have grasped the nettle and hunkered down martial law will not be an issue.
A few batton rounds into a group of whankers will perhaps bring the message home.

Yeah I know, I only mentioned the bikers here because that's what this thread is about Very Happy

Sunday was madness with the amount of people who went out en masse. That Snowdonia thing is a real indictment of how much society needs to be properly controlled. The idea that we'll all eventually self-police and sort ourselves out is utterly naive.

I think a lot of it is people have been sent home by work. They just feel like the weekend has come early so they are wandering around bored not sure what to do and just reverting to usual behaviors.

I have a key worker pass letter so obviously if I go out to tool about on my bike its for the good of the country.
