Short lever advice

Following on from my previous thread about the front brake lever touching the handlebars, I've decided to order up some shorter levers in the hope that they clear the bar when pulled in.

Various Triumph forums suggest the brake lever issue may be just the way that the bike is and no one seems to come up with a definite answer to fix the issue, with even Triumph playing it down pretending that a problem doesn't exist while selling brand new bikes with the same defect (or did at the time) and refusing to repair bikes under warranty.

Anyway, I've come across lots of different types and styles of lever on the Internet but I want to make sure I order up a suitable set. Preferably a set which turns outwards towards the end (with more of a curve on the lever than the standard item).

I had a little incident a number of years ago which due to my own stupidity led to me coming off a bike after fitting the wrong brake lever, so I'd especially like to avoid that happening again. But it looks like it's going to be an aftermarket part that I'm looking for.

The bike is a 2005 Sprint ST 1050 if anyone can recommend anything suitable.
