Yes, always a bit discombobulating: sunset for me is 20:12 but it's 15 mins later back in Cornwall.

The day length depends on how far north you are, but sunrise/sunsets depend on your time zone and how far west you are.

For example I went to Tenerife at the time of the equinox (Sept 21st), but found sunset was about 8.30pm, almost as late as in our summers.
The reason? Tenerife, despite being much further west, stays on Spanish time, GMT+1. Maybe to do with the EU or something...

Yep Thumbs Up

I posted sunrise and sunset times to illustrate day length rather than the times themselves. Smile

I'm good, but then I haven't stopped working...so out and about most days...though thankfully working with patient's fairly close to home and not going to the base apart from collecting equipment and printing off care plans - which means I'm working from home and spending a fair bit of time outside in the garden in the sun when here.

What is great is that on my daily walks I have discovered lots of really pretty routes and footpaths and changing it up so I'm not doing the same route. I am appreciating the weather, the plants, the trees, and the quietness.

I also have a list of chores that I need to do...and have been slowly working through it. Which means I haven't spent too much time on the laptop nor watched too much Netflix. I am still baking and creating different meals with a variety of spice mixes.

I'm still working, but it's a bit crap at the moment.

But, I do get to come and go all day long if I like. I don't actually do that though. I think 4 hrs straight is the longest i've spent out and about on my bicycle in a day, popping home to use the loo and get some tea.

Would like to say I'm delivering life sustaining groceries to people in genuine need. Some orders are like that, but most are just fags and booze to lazy people that will be out later walking the dog or something.
And, the ice cream parlours are open. FFS. How is that essential.

not that much work, and earning less per drop, but still functioning just.

probably jack it in and do something else once lockdowns over

volunteering in a emergency housing shelter too - well, I registered with the council, hoping I'd be zipping about on a bicycle delvering food and medicine, but. Rolling Eyes

Gin! Gah! Wouldn't touch that perfume-type liquid with a barge pole. Sick No siree...usually if I'm thinking I need a drink, I'll boil the kettle and make a lovely cuppa tea.

At a rally, however, I'll crack open the rum. I do like a nice warming rum and hot chocolate on a cold rally night. Thumbs Up

Getting there. Done the garage, done the garden, bored with television, social media etc. Waiting for the black dog now...

Have you de-cobwebbed the eaves of the house, under the window ledges and under the doorstep?
Wiped the dust from the tops of all doors, cupboards and the skirting boards?
Washed the house windows inside and out?
Cleaned the car windows inside and out?
Sprayed the underneath of the car and waxed it?
Checked all guttering for blockages, cracks and leaks?
Got rid of all thistles and old dandelion beds from the garden?
Turned over a bit of the garden to grow your own tomatoes, courgettes and peas for the summer season?
Have you walked around every single block your neighbourhood offers?
Have you cleaned the window blinds (if you have any)?
Washed all the bedding?
Cleaned out your garage, then swept it, cleared away all cobwebs (including the ceilings), repainted the walls and then put it back together again tidy?
Have you sanded back the woodwork around the house and given it a spruce of fresh paint?
Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Am going to learn how to program for phones and tablets.

We use WebDev at work so am trying out WinDev Mobile by the same company.

Largely interchangeable code between their products for standard programming (WinDev / browser based (WebDev) and mobile based (WinDev Mobile).

We switched to WebDev from Visual Basic .net because of all the foibles and bugs in .net.

Xamarin has got a lot better. Microsoft seem to be cracking the whip!

Then there's Unity which I'm toying with at the moment.

Dunno if it means I'm going stir crazy, but I've been pondering a couple of things.

Will computers study to prepare for the Turing Test?

What if we're not living in a simulation, but we're the simulations dropped into reality?

Hmmmm.

A good point. Is it a legitimate point in the context of 'stir-crazy'?

A good point Laughing

Perhaps that's why I said, "Dunno if it means I'm going stir crazy".

Perhaps I'm going 'out' crazy?

Yeah, I know, don't bother saying it Laughing
