I have FINALLY got round to stripping my CBR and ordering track plastics now that we're not allowed to go anywhere and I'm spending more time in the garage.

Whilst I'm waiting for the plastics to arrive, I've got a couple of questions on the seat unit that maybe someone has some advice on?

Bike is CBR600F 2002 (it's the fuel injected, one piece seat model).

Q1) the undertail piece is one single piece, from the number plate hanger all the way to the battery box. I'd like to remove it rather than hack at it. If I do, does anyone have any ideas about how/where to mount the battery? (and the PC3 for that matter)

Q2) the tail piece I've got coming is a single piece that will get a bit of foam stuck on. I've been told I need to put some brackets or other support between the frame and the seat to support my weight. Do you lot have any clever solutions here? I can't weld, and these days I won't be able to get it to a shop. Do people make these things?

Q3) I want to remove the rear footrests, but the exhaust hangs on the RHS footrest. Are there replacement exhaust hangers out there, or do these need to be fashioned bespoke?

Thanks for reading, and for any help. I'll no doubt have more questions as the transition progresses!
