Hey guys,

I hope you are doing well. I'm looking after a middleweight motorcycle to buy but I'm struggling to decide which one should I aim. I prefer Streetfighter/naked bikes and Sport ones, but the first target will be Streetfighters (I guess Smile).

With that said, I'm thinking about Honda CB650R, or Ducati Monster 821 Stealth or... I'm 1,86m tall and I will ride it like 50kms daily. So, can you enlighten me about which bike should I look at and why? Feel free to suggest another one but please give me your reasons so I get clarified.

Thank you and I appreciate your time giving me your input.

Cheers

So you either want a 4 cylinder or a L-twin. Lower the amount of cylinders, more dramatic every twist of the throttle is. If you have no experience with different engine layouts, go and try both of the bikes you've mentioned.

If it's supposed to be your first motorcycle, just buy whatever catches your eye. After some time of riding the motorcycle of your choice, you will find out yourself what suits you better and then either keep the machine or sell it and buy something else. That's how I got into motorcycling, after several 4 cylinder machines (no drama, high revs, high speed) I got a single cylinder bike that is all the drama, low revs and very reasonable speed for the open road.

EDIT: The Ducati has much more torque = more drama/excitement. Thumbs Up

Naked middleweight streetfigher. Can't decide between a twin and 4 cylinder?

Triumph Street Triple.

Because it's a fun, competent middleweight that ticks your boxes and so must be worth a look.

Well, at the moment I'm thinking about CB650R or CB1000R but Triumph might be an opinion too.

Ktm duke 790, it's that or a striple for out and out fun. I commute and ride a duke for about 160kms a day and it's fine. But, having owned one, I'd definitely put a Suzuki gsr750 on the list. It's more comfortable than either Honda, and it's not lacking in power compared to the thou really.
