Can't find any for love nor money. Everyone used to sell it or had it in last week, but sod all now.
B&Q have it, but there is a queue to get on the web site and then it's click and collect.

I have a blocked shower and a blocked toilet, no I didn't shit in the shower after the bog blocked.

It takes an hour to queue before getting into the shops only to find they haven't got the bloody stuff.

And I have a dose of thrush thanks to diabetes. I hate life.

Oh! Sir should not buy caustic sode or similar, they are not very good, and they make further work, if they don't actually clear the pipe, very nasty indeed.

Perhaps sir would entertain one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/drain-unblocker-7-6m/11325 (edit: bloody comma), of which cheaper versions are available, for his shower, basin, sink or bath? They are really very good.

But for the lavatory, sir needs a bucket of water, and a good aim, and to tip the water in rapidly from around waist height, which is likely to dislodge the obstruction, and restore sir's sanity, together with a feeling of accomplishment as good as the one that went before Smile

Patio cleaner is usually hydrochloric acid, also sold as spirit of salts.

In any case, you know you're going to have to rodger that drain, it's the only way. Last time I put caustic down a drain, it reacted with the fat which is what was blocking the drain and made soap which was even worse than the initial blockage.

Want me to post you out some long gloves? Laughing

I'm not going to ask where the thrush is but if you need any tips on yoghurt making, ask away, i just made up a batch of keffir last night and am resisting the temptation to scoff the lot.

Done the buckets of water, which usually clears everything at least after second bucket. It's just bunged up thanks to Greta and her mustn't use too much water cisterns that we have now. Poor plumbing and long stretches of horizontal pipes that slow the flow down.

I've never had a toilet beat me yet, just need to push the blockage further down the pipe and then gravity and more water will sort it. Good ob I have to loos.

I saw something for a toilet once, may help, may not but it seems like you're desperate! sheet of sticky back plastic over the bowl to seal it, flush to pressurise it then pump up and down on the top of the plastic with your hands, might dislodge something!

Do both the shower and toilet go to the same drain?
May be worth popping the lid on the inspection chamber if you can.
Ours had backed up earlier in the week. We had around 2m³ of waste to shift.

Highly recommend one of these!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Pressure-8x-More-Power-Action-Drain-Unclog-Toilets-Powerful-Toilet-Plunger/163934207955

I had a really badly blocked toilet last year (I didn't do it Embarassed ), tried everything but just couldn't clear it. Bought one of those and job was done in a few minutes! Thumbs Up

Deffo worth pulling an inspection cover outside the house if its on your property first...no amount of drain cleaner will clear a back log that needs a drain rod to clear. worst case is pull any shower filter and try a kettle of boiling water to clear.....plz post photos lol

Unfortunately yes...(possibly slightly more)
It was approx 10cm from the top of the chamber.

My memory is a bit hazy on inspection chambers as I've only stuck my head in a few but I don't recall any of them being near the size of an IKEA standalone wardrobe (2m³)

Some of the brick-built ones are sizeable. I had to unbung one about half that size a few years ago, it was easiest to send a hose in from downstream (Karcher make an excellent-looking pressure-washer attachment, but I haven't got one Sad ), and then wash down from the top with lots of water.

Blockages suggest a damaged or poorly designed pipe junction unless something has been unwisely flushed, (body parts etc?)
In other words if it happens once it will happen again unless you can find out why.
Sometime pipes subside slightly so there isn't enough fall but it might still be OK if you flush the system with buckets or something periodically.

All free now. Had to use expensive Mr Muscle drain cleaner instead of cheap soda for the shower. With the loo had to use the bog brush as a plunger and lots of buckets of water. Took about an hour. All the gadgets such as water squirter and wire rods etc were useless.

The shower is due to poor drainage, hair and soap suds.

Toilet is due to poor drainage/plumbing large amounts of poop, loads of bog roll and a poor flush. Sometimes it just gets overwhelmed due to my arse working overtime.

With both it is mainly down to poor pipe work not allowing the waste to move quickly and flow away. Drainage angles are poor.
