Even if you had symptoms, what's the point? There's no cure and even if it's just flu or a cold and not Covid-19, you shouldn't be at work anyway and should be at home isolating.
I'm not sure I see the point in blanket testing everyone for current infections. For everyone non-symptomatic who it removes from infecting people, it will give others a false sense of being OK when as soon as the test is done, they're liable to infection.
The way the world has responded to this, coupled with the fascination on testing for currently infected people, with no follow up on who you've been in contact with, leads me to think there's something about this virus which we're not being told.
There's a lot of talk about vast numbers carrying it with no symptoms, so why does it kill some and hardly affect others? Information about the virus is still sketchy at best, you know, can we be re-infected, is it mutating, why can symptoms be so vastly different between hosts, what temperature does it die at, how long exaclty does is survuve outside a host in normal conditions etc.. 4 months in, surely medical scientists somewhere in the world have learnt more about the virus than we're being told? ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

The problem is, if we go back top December, just about everyone will have had a cough, cold, flu, sore throat etc. Unless we make immunity testing wide scale and reliable, we'll never know.
I had something nasty before Christmas and lost my voice completely for a couple of days in January. Was that it? Who knows? ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I think the wife and I had a mild dose of the Wuhans.
I was off sick mid February, with the weirdest cough I've ever had. Went to bed fine, woke up with bubbling lungs and a constant cough that wouldn't shift. The following day I felt shite, might have had a fever but couldn't tell as I was helping my brother clear a partially downed tree so it wouldn't fall on his house. Felt better by around day 4, but the cough carried on for about a week. Then the wife got the same thing, with a definite fever. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Lucky old you Mr Shaggy!
We had it in the Pepperami household.
We had severe fever for days , a bubbly cough for weeks, lethargy for weeks and difficulties breathing for the best part of two weeks.
I wouldn’t go to hospital or call a doctor because I wanted to be at home and not end up in a pine box, because that seemed to be happening to everyone going to hospital at the time .
Happy days, it seems to have gone away now , fingers crossed 🤞. ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

Me: Hiya, [father-in-law], I'm doing my bit to look after the old and vulnerable in society... do you need anything from Tescos?
Father-in-law: Fuck off, ya c*nt!
...
Father-in-law (over 60, COPD): Actually, yeah, can you get me some bananas and a pint of milk.
So yes, testing would be nice if I felt I had symptoms. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |
