DTR 125 Oil leak

Hi, need a bit of help,
My dtr broke down a week ago and the engine seized up, after a day the bike unseized itself but wouldn’t start, took the head off and the gasket had blown, this it the 3rd gasket in around 5 months , so I had the head skimmed as it was slightly warped.

Also the right side power valve cover has blown out,

I’ve had an oil problem for a while thinking the oil pump maybe to rich but I’ve checked it and it’s on the right setting.

I get oil seeping out the exhaust joints and have to constantly clean rear indicators and number plate covered in black smokey oil,

Anyway I bought a new PV cover and it fits in nicely, even better than the old one, tried starting her up and nothing !

After a while I noticed a watery oil drip coming from exhaust port

I’ve checked rings they seemed, possible crankshaft seal has gone and seeping to cylinder but haven’t check yet,

TOOK PV cover off and she fired right up but does struggle to idle, when I ride oil splutters from the PV but will not start if I put the cover back on

If it's seized, you need to pop the barrel off and have a look at the damage to the bore. Over oiling will not cause a seizure.
Are you using genuine Yamaha head gaskets and are you replacing every time you pop the head off? Also, a top tip, smear a very thin coat of Threebond over both sides of a genuine head gasket before fitting, with your finger and thumb, wearing latex gloves.

I replaced the pistons on one of my TZR250's on Friday and tend to leave the head attached to the barrels and just lift the barrels and head off in one go. I've never had a head gasket fail on me yet and have never had to replace one as the head stays attached.

What does the gearbox oil look like? Any sign of 2T oil in it? I also rebuilt the oil pump on my other TZR yesterday as the seal had gone and was filling up the gearbox with 2T oil.
