I have the title bike and the air box is not usable. The motor number shows the Model as GS650G, but I saw the GS650M parts breakdown and mine looks just like the "M" model. Part number 13700-34810. I need just the section that the filter is in along with the cover . I cannot seem to find one. I looked on ebay, I have tried a few used parts suppliers with no luck.

Can anyone recommend a place to get an air box or is there an alternative to using and air box such as separate filters. Then if I were to use 4 separate filters, where would I re-mount all the electrical stuff that attaches to the air box?

Thank you for your help.

I’m currently working on a GS650L in a similar position as you. The previous owner has binned the old air box but has fitted brand new pod filters. The wiring has been lifted and cable tied to the frame at points.

To be honest the bikes gonna get put back with the pod filters. I know manufacturers have tuned air boxes specifically for engines but in this case it’s not an engine in a high state of tune plus the asking prices for these parts are crazy.

Thanks spottedtango. I may have to go with the separate filters. I don't like the idea of tying up the electronics with zip ties. Looks shoddy. Guess I'll have to make a bracket if I can't find the box.

Here's my top bodge tip for cable ties: use two! If you have a bundle of wires cable-tied to a frame it looks pretty awful - the cables flatten out, you can't quite get the cable tie tightened up enough - so put one cable tie around the cables loosely and then thread another through and onto the frame and then tighten both up.

You might need to find the right angle (see what I did there) on the frame to mount to...
