After a couple of decades or so I thought it was about time to get my leather trousers cleaned (sorry if anyone finds it offensive to 'clean' bike leathers).

Anyway there is a dry cleaning firm at my local Waitrose in Cheltenham so asked how much? £40 seemed quite expensive but in reality it only worked out at £2 a year so I thought bugger it and I took them in.

When I got them back they were nice and clean fair enough, but it was when I got caught out in a heavy rain storm that I was really impressed; they were now completely 'waterproof'!

Great, they were never waterproof when they where new.

I never bothered with dry cleaning. Just chuck em in the washing machine on low temp, and give em a good rub-in leather conditioner after. Never had issues. My leathers have always been mesh fronts though, so no chance of waterproofing Laughing
