Well, he never mentioned it to me.

If he wants to go driving he can go with his own fucking family, the strange bastard. Shocked

Back on topic, I think the consensus is we can.

We just need to ride carefully and not take the pxss.

I'm planning on just enjoying the view and taking my time.

I'm off up to Kielder Forest tomorrow. Didn't realise it's bang on the Scottish border.

I'm gonna stand right on the edge of England and ask all the people on the other side wtf they're doing outdoors Laughing

I was expecting to see bikes but here (NYMoors) still very low traffic and not seen anyone riing - but it has been about 5C with hail showers most of the day.
I will be out for sure this weekend now that it won't make me literally worse than Hitler to ride a bike over empty moorland roads for an hour or two.
Tomorrow evening also looks feasible.

Tomorrow hasn't happened yet.

I'm expecting it to be pretty empty, it's only Thursday and it's not exactly one of the better known scenic park areas. Plus the Scotland side of any potential visitors is still not allowed to go Very Happy

The weather was a bit cold and breezy round here so the wife suggested we go out for a drive in her car.

"Where the f*ck is Newlands Corner? Dad's always banging on about it..."

So we drove around the Surrey Hills for a bit. Ended up down some dirt tracks that were pretty inappropriate for a car but it did give me some ideas of what to do with the DT Smile

Perhaps it's a good time to fill up all your vehicles before petrol prices rocket.

Just filled the bike up, all 6 lanes at the Morrisons I stopped off was full!

99.97p per litre

I took the bike out on a 40 mile local ride out, all at very sensible, taking in the view speeds, it felt really good to be out on the bike again. Well I have been to the hospital pharmacy and to work. but to actually see the countryside was really nice.

I probably saw 4 or 5 other bikes.

So....

I invaded Scotland yesterday Very Happy

Drove to Kielder Forest, had a massive trek, then decided to cross the border on foot just for a laugh, seeing as it was nearby.

Sorry Nicola Very Happy

I did my favourite local circuit through the Siltons, Boltby Bank and Helmsley yesterday - wanted to fill with fuel really but the last garage on way back the kiosk was shut from 3pm.
They have pay at pump but I didn't have a card - on bike I usually pay with phone or cash I don't like carrying a wallet.
So it's home but nearly empty.

I took the Rebel for a good run then hopped off that and tore about on the DT. Nice to not feel so guilty about it or have to work in some errand to get out and about.

Father-in-law went to Box Hill this morning... got moved on by the police Shocked

Apparently all was fine, old people socially distancing and all that, and then some youngsters turned up and started doing wheelies up and down the car park Sad
