Hi
Someone tried to steal my GSR600, I wonder apart of changing the cosmetics, what else have to be done in these cases.
This bike shares a lot of part with the GSXR 600 so probably soution will come from that side.
It has an immobilizer and the original security system from suzuki.
They broke apart the plastic around the ignition and currently it gives me the F1 code.

If anyone else had similar experience, please feel free to share your thoughts.

Thanks in advance

I believe with these there is a dealer-plug under the seat that you can bridge with a paper clip and it will give you a diagnostic code. You can then look up the code and see what’s up.

Oh, and it’s “FI” rather than “F1”.

Hey
Thank you very much for your answer, I have seen the paper clip thingy.
It has happened just in the last days, I am waiting for the police to take fingerprints etc before I touch anything.

Likely they broke the antenna which is in the plastic around the ignition.

trying to read around and educate myself and I think @sickpup is right, the plastic around has the antenna and they broke it off.
Now, do yous recon it will be enough to change the antenna, or I need a full lock replacement ( with the ECU )?
The ignition looks fine, i dont think they hammered it, key slips in no problem.
Will the ECU and the old key work with the new antenna or that is coded too ? Or is it advised to have a full lock replacement anyway ?

Thanks

Your ECU and key should work with a new antenna as I recall. I swapped one and certainly didn't do any more. Is there any shrouds you can remove to get the current antenna closer to the key to test the idea?

Thank you very much for all your help, even the antenna survived, all I needed was the plastic cover and one more investment in locks and alarm.
