eBay has lots of used leathers from top brands (Crowtree, Hideout, BKS M2M, Carerra, etc). Some look low priced for high-quality leathers. But many will be made-to-measure sizes; has anyone looked into getting these leathers second-hand, and then adjusted to fit?

One thing I wondered was what the condition of the leather is like because it depends on how well the owned 'fed' their leathers.

I think Hideout offers an adjust-to-fit service for Furygan leathers from their shop (if you can't afford Hideout's own M2M leathers). Any thoughts?

In recent years I've mainly bought from ebay and had some great bargains with barely broken in gear.
But yes sizing is an issue I'd say about half the time you wouldn't have bought it if you could have tried beforehand but not too far out - but oddly most of those have eventually either seemed not so bad after all or been given to or bought by friend etc so no big deal.
It's easier if you are on the small slim side I think a lot of them are grown out of, or owners stopped riding for a few years and never got back to it in later life.

I bought some eBay leathers years ago and took them to Hideout to get around 3" added to the legs. Cost me 100 ish for the leathers and similar for the alteration
