Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Kawasaki ER6N?

Rear tyre also looks like a 160.

The headline doesn't tally with the actual article which mentions hitting speeds of 100 mph.

Sorry - I'm mistaken - the article did mention 180 mph.

Not at 180MPH. Litre+, Earliest early 2000's but probably newer.

The picture showing a bike on its side behind a bus stop probably relates to a separate incident.

Quote:
It came after a separate high-speed pursuit came to an end after officers used slow speed tactical contact to dismount the rider.

I totally agree - closest match I can make for the bike in the pic is the ER6N - If it is that bike (or similar) then the earlier mention of speeds of 100 mph may have been accurate but claims of hitting 180 mph sounds like total cobblers.

Yeah - good call - that would explain it - archive photo or something.

Might get to 180mph off a cliff, but that back end does look remarkably like an XJ6

180 on a naked bike? It'd need more power than a hayabusa. It doesn't look like a turbo'd and street fightered 'busa so I'm doubtful of the 180 claims.
Does the MSM have to lie about everything?

Sounds like shite. There are few police vehicles outside of surveillance bikes capable of hitting such speeds. Even the helicopter won't do 180 (I realise it doesn't have to to maintain s view from height)

It does grab attention and point out to the uninformed that all bikes do 180mph regardless of power and aerodynamics and are ridden by drugged up loons!

Bollocks was he hitting 180 on that... maybe kph...

I’ve never believed the dash cams of cops in the UK when they show them on tv... display says 120mph and you’re barely passing traffic in the middle lane, yeah right mate.

There are two stories mentioned in that article - the picture is from the second one;

Quote:
It came after a separate high-speed pursuit came to an end after officers used slow speed tactical contact to dismount the rider.

Not a gsr. Xj6n almost definitely. But, the disengenuos way it's presented is typical of the pisspoor attitude that the press and some police have toward motorcyclists in general. Why don't they show the 180mph bike?

Impossibru with a bent frame and a chain as slack asthat. Maybe 165mph/kph.

Blimey, I didn't realise there was one. Must see my GP.

Maxis tyres as well. They'd probably explode at 180mph Laughing
