The US side may have being playing a force with superior numbers but inferior equipment or tactics whilst the British may have being playing the opposite. |
Something tells me that with a 15:1 advantage, better equipment wouldn't have helped them much. Besides, we had better kit than the Yanks, with all their resources?! Oh yeah, they left it all in Afghanistan
And whatever tactics and kit the Yanks were using, the idea is to win.
Lots of comments below about how SJW indoctrination has been weakening the US military's training, including comments from those serving. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

So, for example, the yanks can't call in artillery or air strikes and the Brits could. |
What was the actual situation in those exercises? Do you know? I haven't heard anything about the Yanks having restrictions applied. What would be the point? Military exercises are supposed to replicate as close as possible actual war situations. When have the Yanks ever gone into battle with an inferiority in kit? ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

It could be like everyone being in a version of the cub scouts. Badges for pronouns, badges for vaccination, badges for race, political orientation...
Well ok, more like being in the Hitler Youth ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

So forcing people to wear badges is mildly annoying. But it isn't the badges themselves but what goes along with that which becomes dangerous. Things become accepted step by step, and we only have to look at history (which some are trying to rewrite or eradicate altogether, as if they could) to see where it can all lead. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

History encompasses more than retrospective viewing, thankfully. Artefacts, documentation and more, which is why some wish to destroy such, and must be prevented from doing so. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

And this is exactly why we should be careful about passing judgement on history. We aren't always fully informed about the dilemmas that people faced, and who would have wanted to have been faced with this one?
What we have had, been lucky to have, is a society where people can study it and write about it freely, so we can read more than one account and interpretation and get a fuller picture. I hope we never begin to restrict what we are allowed to read as far as history is concerned. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

It's difficult. Isn't it important to understand the mind of a Hitler or a Stalin? ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

It's very difficult to know what the population actually knew about what was going on in their time. I mean, we blame the Germans for Nazism but how many rank and file Germans had a clue what was going on behind the wall of propoganda.
Even nowadays, with wall to wall social media we have censorship of sorts when it suits the powers that be. An obvious one is the police not revealing the ethicity of a wanted criminal even though saying he's black/white/Asian would eliminate large chunks of the population from being under suspicion.
It's a reason I don't want any governmental controls over the internet bar being able to prosecute the person for inappropriate content. The ability to put it up should be sacrosanct in my view otherwise governments have probably the most powerful propoganda tool going.
We are lucky in this country in that there are checks and controls in place on governments. I would say most countries in the world don't have that safetynet even now. |
That's a very good point.
In 1930's Nazi Germany, the Jews didn't spot what was going on, nor did a lot of the general population, as the mission creep was slow and gradual, with certain freedoms being removed piece by piece.
This is exactly what's going on in the UK and other Western countries at the moment.
18 months ago, when we were told it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve and vaccines were just for the old and vulnerable, anyone who dared suggest we'd end up locked down for months on end, with a constant threat of it returning, vaccinating children and forcing the vaccine on adults or lose your job, you'd have been laughed at on here as a tin foil hat, conspiracy theorist.
It seems pretty obvious to me, that the mass vaccination is no longer about stopping the spread of Covid and ONS figures prove my point. I feel it's now all about getting such a large percentage of the population on board the Pharma Quarterly Jab train, that very few will resist the inevitable VAXX PASS Digital ID app, when Sadistic Javid finally announces it will be compulsory to work with people or go out in public.
The similarities to the way people were losing freedoms in 1930's Germany and control was being extended to the public, is a lot closer than many are seeing. Try taking a break from TV and newspapers for a while, stop posting on social media and avoid as much news as possible, then the propaganda and social engineering projects become a lot more obvious. |
