Hi everyone

New to the forum and hoping your experience can help with a bit of advice please.

I’m looking to purchase a hybrid bike flat bar for general use and to hopefully discover a great hobby.

I’ve narrowed my choices to the following and was hoping if if anyone can help me decide. I’m aware a lot of models are out of stock but I’m prepared to wait.

Orbea Carpe 40 - blue red white. Bold colours. £450ish I’ve actually ordered this though not available on cycle scheme. It’s got a while to ship so have time to cancel. I ordered as was last in stock but now I’ve started to (and enjoyed) researching different bikes and specs I’m wondering whether there are better options and I should buy a bike from a vendor where cyclescheme is allowed and save around £230

Orbea vector 30 in green. £639. Better groupset and fork than the carpe. https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/urban/vector/cat/vector-30

Triban rc500 flat bar. £549. Have read brilliant reviews but some bad things about wheels and changes. But is the sora groupset streets ahead?

Many thanks

I have roadie, fixie, mountain bike, but my hybrid is the one I like riding the most.

Get the Triban. The extra gears would be noticeable if you tested them back to back, and the quality is better on Sora. The carbon fork should be a bit nicer than the cheap steel or ally on the Orbea's and the ability to fit tubeless to the Triban is an extra bonus.
