Or something that would do the job. Needs to hold a 1 kg load, but would be much better were it robust enough to stand manual mishandling. For desk mounting, replacing a pillar-type clamp-on single arm monitor mount.

I was thinking of the pan/tilt devices that mobile phones can be put on, but they are not robust enough.
