Hi.

This is the semi-faired fuel injection C-ABS version.

Can anyone tell me where the flasher relay is located? I don't want to have to remove all the fairings to find it. It isn't behind the front fairings, looked there already as it seemed the most logical to me somehow. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

Tried under the seat? More often than not they’re located around the battery/fuse box area. You could also try behind the clocks. You can probably get a copy of the service manual online if your google-fu skills are strong enough.

Pretty sure it is behind the rear fairing piece/cowl on the right hand side. You need to remove the seat, side panels, grab rails and rear fairing to get to it.

Thanks both. It isn't under the seat or around the battery. I thought probably behind one of the rear panels. Thanks for helping out.

Yeah I’d go with rear panels then. I remember my F4i had a few bits behind the rear panels (regulator etc). Service manual will help you a lot if you can get it.

If it the OEM flasher - find a quiet spot, turn on an indicator and you'll here the little fecker ticking.

Later hornets were certainly behind the rear panel - as above.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I have changed the unit and I can confirm that it is behind the cowl on the right hand side just beside the seat. I was able to wiggle it out just by removing the passenger seat and there was just enough space between the frame member and the plastic cowl to get the old one out and the new one in. It is a tight fit but it can be done. Saves you the trouble of removing the cowl if you just go slow and patient. It mounts with one of those rubber 'band' things around it, then that slips onto a metal flap on the frame.
