Stuart Fillingham has just put up a grim video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgiyi0Ci01E

tl;dr Gearboxes going pop at random times and Triumph are "what? what gearbox problem?"

Isn't that the guy that made a video bitching about a Royal Enfield corroding when he didn't bother to clean or treat any of the bare metal surfaces?

Dunno about that. Last video he did about a Bullet he was banging on about snobby journalists writing off RE out of hand, e.g. moaning about the transmission on demo bike that hadn't been properly run-in.

I've not seen anything said about it on the Triumph forums I go on and I would expect to hear something.

Just had a look, he's not. He could win awards for being a long winded and boring though.

From what I could make out from all that rambling, Triumph have issued a bulliten on how to fix the issue with a new selector kit and new models dont have the issue, so they are hardly ignoring it like he makes out. If it's something that's going to happen to every single bike then they should do a recall, but a couple of people commenting that it happened to them out of thousands of bikes sold might just make it a rare occurrence thats better fixed on individual cases.
