Hi,

Question for the long term (ie: if I ever need a bigger top-box). Purchased a MK1 luggage kit and it came with below adapter plate, but wondered what top-box's would fit?

It looks to be this.

For now I've got this cool little piece (not as large as it looks, and is battered a bit), and panniers, but just in the event that I need something more practical than panniers in a larger size.

That plate is for the monokey case system, so all monokey cases will fit. Monolock cases won't fit.

.. it looks tiny judging by the key-hole. Cool - yes.

A cheap Tech7 52 litre box would be much better. I hope you didnt pay money for this Givi rubbish.

I wasn't aware that Tech7 made racks and rack arms, could you direct me to the fitments lists please?

Ah they don't so your comment was pretty much irrelevant as usual. Thumbs Up

You are of course aware that the Tech7 box can be opened without a key by pressing the sides in? The Givi's can't so there is a massive difference in quality as well as price not to mention Givi boxes are expected to last decades so they sell spares even for the older models, do Tech7?

So tiny the whole thing (one piece) can be fitted inside a pannier with no trouble. Laughing

Suspect its custom made in some way. Lid's a bit bodged, either that or its really old.

I wasn't just after a top-box, but much rather top-box recommendations for a plate that came with a kit I'd purchased (that included an entire mounting system, and panniers).

Such a kit for the MK1 Fazer is quite hard to obtain, and here's a link to the only other eBay item searched for via "sold listings" that looks similar to what I've obtained (my isn't a wing-rack) clicky.

In either case I'm not really here to warrant my purchase to the internet. I'm happy with what I have, and as such is why I paid the price I did.

Personally I'd trust Givi over a brand that sells, I believe, cheap chinese re-branded items at profit.

Cheaper options indeed, but not for what I got in return. Thumbs Up
