Interesting how it was immediately reported as an ammonium nitrate explosion*. Unless the warehouse was only stocked with that one material (in which case what could have set it off?) everyone just went, "Oh yeah, that'll be that huge stockpile of ammonium nitrate that's sat there for years." If it was common knowledge you'd hope someone would have said, "Let's dispose of it (safely!)"

*Despite everyone else receiving such reports, the POTUS posted a reactionary tweet saying it was an attack. Make the situation even worse, whydoncha?
Doh!

In the first tv news report I saw on this, there were hints of speculation about "Hezbollah base! American attack! Israeli attack!" Why do we even have an MSM anymore?

When it first went off, the press were frantically asking people if all the phones and computers were still working. Big enough badda-boom to have been a tactical nuke and they throw off a lovely spherical clear shockwave like that thing did...

The population are starving and they have a massive pile of fertiliser rotting in a warehouse...

No, I'm laughing at the play on words, that's all!

The ship on it's side is the Orient Queen. Fcuk knows where the 3 ships that were moored right next to the explosion ended up, probably vaporised.

I think what's left of the one with the three red containers may now be up on the dockside?

Oh yes, missed that, but I think thats the smallest ship that was nearest to the explosion. Picked up and chucked onto land. Shocked

How that tall building stayed standing is amazing.

You would think the death toll is going to double yet, what with finding more and dying from injuries.

Was anyone else`s first reaction to look on google maps and see how much of their local area would have been wiped if the same thing happened near by?

I'd check Sid's underwear for the blast evidence in Cyprus. Shocked
