I've got a cheap'n cheerful rechargeable bluetooth transmitter, which has basically now expired after several years because its battery is now screwed. Rather than just buy a new transmitter I've opened up the case to see if I can swap in a new battery... I'm sure that would be possible if I can identify what the hell it is!

No idea what sort of battery it is; it has no markings at all (neither does the device itself, other than "Bluetooth Transmitter"). The device is charged from a phone charger with a USB cable. Does anybody recognise it? I'll bet they are available on eBay if only I knew where to look

It's a lithium polymer battery of some sort, but it doesn't look standard. It looks like a custom one. You can make a lipo in pretty much any size and shape, so it's probably something they have made custom for the unit.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

So this morning I received a little jiffy bag in the post from China. I opened it and this dropped out. WTF is that thing?? Nothing I've ever ordered, that's for sure....

Upon investigating a bit, I discovered my new lipo battery concealed inside:

Hilarious! Presumably it's a low-tech way of giving batteries a sporting chance of getting though Royal Mail unscathed...

How very queer!
I've bought similar batteries that didn't have to be disguised
I'm wondering if perhaps the white box is a charger?
I've seen phone chargers that looked a bit like that.

Mind you, if the white box is empty it does serve as a good protective
container I spose

Usually there is some printed info on them like your replacement, it will be rather cryptic but can be googled.
