Is there any compression?

Have you tried another spark plug, although sparking it could still be duff.

Same thing happened on my NSR. The plug was sparking, but once it was changed, the bike was fine. Funny things those spark plugs... Neutral

Ok, went out last night and it cut out again! and then of corse wouldnt start at all. The thing is, its at my mates house as i broke down near there, and i cant get it o a bike shop as it dont go. Im going to have to get it looked at by a machanic as there is no obviuse problem with it. Sad One of them things where i cant do anything about.

I found the problem in the end, it was the float ting in the carb, the pin had come out and petrol was not getting in as the float had fallen down.

The symptoms can all point out to maybe a blown fuse - i often used to carry around 5 amp fuse wire all the time in my NRG helmet bay, ready to rewire the fuse if it did blow. My bike used to cut out and stall, leaving me stranded after college, so i went and checked the battery to find that the main fuse had blown, luckily the physics lab had some. But obviously do try and bring your bike to a mechanic for a thorough check. NRG's and most italian scoots are notorious for having duff electrics!
