Back at the beginning of the lockdown I SORNed one of my cars and one of my bikes. I taxed the other bike again, but the car has stayed off the road, as we haven't really been able to go anywhere, I've been using the other vehicle for a few bits of shopping.

On Saturday I had a letter from a nice Mr Anthony Bamford at the DVLA helpfully reminding me that if I use my vehicle on the road or park it on a road then I must tax it first.

There's a surprise , how nice of him to remind me.... No doubt shortly I'll be getting a letter off HMRC thanking me for my tax return and letting me know that if I ever earn any more money then I may be liable to pay income tax on it.

Then perhaps I might receive a letter from Dyfed-Powys Police letting me know that if I buy some cannabis , or other illegal drug , I might find myself liable to prosecution.

Meanwhile, are the kids going back to school? Are the students going to Uni or not? Is it safe to go anywhere outside the UK at present? Does anyone in retail/ service actually have a job anymore?

Talk about tinkering round the edges.

In fairness, I had totally forgotten I'd SORNed my VFR until I got that letter. Presumably they are sending them out to anyone who SORNed a vehicle at the start of lockdown.

DVLA in does something helpful shock!

All things that have nothing at all do with the DVLA.
